The GMDN Agency is delighted to announce the partnership with the Medical Electrical Equipment Maintenance Professionals Association (MEEMPA).

Colleagues from both organisations had a productive meeting in London recently and discussed the GMDN Translation Project roadmap, which will see the GMDN translated from English to Arabic and is the first priority of the new agreement.

Deniz Bruce, CEO of the GMDN Agency, said: “It was a pleasure to meet the team from MEEMPA in London and to formalise our partnership with them. The GMDN Agency is committed to supporting the global use and implementation of the GMDN. The GMDN is the leading global standard for the naming, classification and categorisation of medical devices.

The GMDN Translation Project is one of our key initiatives to achieve this goal, by providing GMDN Terms and Categories in key world languages such as Arabic.”
