The National Institute of Surveillance of Medicines and Food (INVIMA) of Colombia has recently announced its commitment to implement a new Information System for medical devices.
Colombia has decided to implement a UDI system where GMDN will be used in the same way as in other UDI systems in place or being implemented such as USA FDA, Australia TGA, UK MHRA, etc.
The GMDN Agency has been providing support to the Colombian Ministry of Health, including in-country training, translation, and data services.
